Mushroom Cloud Over Nagasaki, Lieutenant Charles Levy, 1945

Taken by Charles Levy, The fat man, an atomic vessel of pure destruction hit Nagasaki. Launched in order to discourage Japan from further attacks. This photo is the mushroom cloud as a result. The reason for selecting this image is, a fascination with the after math of explosives, specifically the resulting shockwave. This image reminds me of the 2023 release, Oppenheimer; A film about the creation of the atomic bomb and Roberts guilt towards making it.

Cotton Mill Girl, Lewis Hine, 1908

Photographed by Lewis Hine, a small girl going through child labor. The reason this image intrigued me is because in Mexico my father worked a shoe maker industry at the age of 7 years old. He began working at a very young age which accustomed him to harsh labor.

Pillars Of Creation, Nasa, 1995

Photographed by the Hubble telescope this is an image of nebula. The place where stars are birthed and given light. Formed by the forces of nearby starts, this pillar shaped nebula. The reason i chose this image is I’ve always had a fascination with space and the way every corner present knew knowledge to be learned, terrifying unknowns.
