Favorite teacher with Flash

Being a teacher isn’t exactly something a student can comment on. Its fairly easy to judge others based on fairly simple and external factors. Its not common a student gets to experience what its like being a teacher. The rather early morning rise, 8 hours of work, remembering around 100 students names, working after school, working at home, and working weekends. Often times we underestimate how difficult it could be for a teacher. Which is why its important to treat elders on campus with respect.

Teachers work just as hard sometimes harder than students. Teachers with bright energy despite this are the most incredible. Personal life can at times meddle with daily responsibilities and this gets to absolutely everyone without exception. Mrs. Cauchon and other teachers for example always have an immensely friendly and agreeable tone when they speak with others. That allows for them to create good relationships with their pupils which makes their days far less grueling as well as ours.

I heavily admire Mrs. Cauchons personality. Another quality on par with that is her passion for what she teaches. Lots of people who become teachers do so initially thinking it would be simple and would allow them to earn without working much. However many can attest that, doing something your not actually interested, every day of your life, would likely quickly become unbearable. Something that makes Mrs. Cauchon so special is her genuine passion for photography. She’s extremely knowledged and proficient in it, you don’t often stop to consider how skill full someone like that is.

External Flash

  • You would use external flash in order to create a balance in lighting, when you want your subject as bright as the background or when you want everything in the image to be lit equally.
  • If your using flash, you do not need to meter light.
  • Flash synchronization is when the flash goes off at the immediate time a picture is taken.
  • ETTL means when referring to a flash that it works through the camera lens, adjusting to its settings.
  • If you shoot faster than the camera sync speed the camera shakes, and the image becomes blurry.
  • Photographers might bounce a flash or use a diffuser to make the lighting softer.
  • A slave is something that sets off a second flash.
  • If an image comes out either to light or to dark, you should mess with the aperture.

Beginner tips

First when choosing what mode to shoot with for photos it’s in between automatic, TV, AV, or manual. Automatic takes the passion from shooting and isn’t ideal for learning. Manual allows for you to mess with all the settings however you please, the main components for shooting would be aperture: the width of the camera shot (wider allows for more light to enter therefor a brighter picture) the shutter speed: the speed at which the camera opens to take the picture (the faster the camera clicks the less light that can get in), and ISO which is basically overall sensitivity. AV prioritizes the aperture so you can set the shutter speed manually again taking from the fun and most of the learning process, and TV prioritizing shutter speed, making the aperture the setting you can alter. Automatic does everything by itself so that all you do is press a button. Then there’s the number of pictures you want to take, a timer and other similar simple features. The most helpful thing is setting your ISO correctly because it’ll make every other setting easier to change. If there’s less light, you’d want the ISO higher. If there’s more light, like outside for example you’d want it low, at around 200. In doors at around 1600. Once you’ve set the ISO at an appropriate range, tweaking the shutter speed and aperture is much less complicated. Another thing to keep in mind is the cameras speed cannot go below 1/60th of a second while being handheld, this is because the camera isn’t still enough and captures shaking. Anything requiring below 1/60th requires usage of a tripod.

Careers

The first job that immediately attracted my attention is a digital content producer, someone that works from home. Other jobs are a videographer or an editor in Fontana, an apprentice in photography in rancho, and an automotive photographer in Fontana. The only real requirement for all of these jobs is some type of evidence that you have experience with cameras. Though I’m sure photography 1 isn’t exactly ideal for the job. Of course, the obvious skills you would need would be being able to use a camera, but creativity and constant ideas is also need for this job, based off of the specific job, they require greater more stern proof. I would want this job because you could work from home, assist someone, photograph and make a fairly decent salary for working at home. If I worked this job, I’d likely be scraping by because they all have an average of 58,000 is per year which is not horrible however times are rough in California.

Studio Portraits w strobes and gels

How to use Colored Gels to Create Unique and Creative Portraits | Colour gel photography, Unique ...

Studio portraits with gel is covering the flash with a sheet of colored paper to give a colored background effect as well as a glow to the subject. Based off the cover which is like a light shade of pink, I get the feeling she has a very strong personality. Based off of her pose I get a very strong sense of confidence which fits in well with the color. It gives a sort of cold feeling as if she’s rather to herself yet confidently loud.

HDR

HDR is a photography style with an “unusually high dynamic range,” says “Digital trends.” At first glass it looks like an image with very exaggerated colors, like a surreal sky for example. The target of HDR is always a landscape as well, with the extreme colors tending to be in the clouds or sky. What exactly is HDR? Well one would assume its editing the exposure, or color grid of the sky, but it’s mainly a merging of the same image. Setting a tripod for HDR images is ideal that way the exact same image occurs. The difference between images for example could be cloud positioning. Or something else that could be done is take an image in a spot, and at a very different hour retake the image giving it an extreme range of color and different skies. In this image here for the most part the sky did not noticeably change however it became a very light shade of blue from having been gray, as well as clouds that hadn’t been there previously. The mountain and trees remain in the exact same position and what added a very bright effect, was Soley the sky giving the image a soft sort of lighting.
